have been a licensed hairstylist for over 31 years and an educator for more than a decade. In 2010, I founded ICD Haircare Center, fueled by my passion for education, training, and business. This passion led me to establish ICD Phase II, a mobile training academy. As I reflected on my industry experience, I noticed a significant gap: beauty professionals often lack business training. At 65, many still work behind the chair out of necessity rather than choice. Understanding this, I pursued a degree in Business Administration because our industry often struggles with professionalism, consistency, and effective communication while overlooking crucial aspects like customer service and marketing. Recognizing this long-standing need, I organized the Bay Area's first beauty industry business conference in Oakland, CA, on September 17th-18th, 2018. My ultimate goal is to ensure that every student and professional is well-informed about the essential elements of running a successful business, whether as a professional or a salon/barbershop owner and every client leaves pleased and extremely satisfied.
